United States Air Force Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol (CAP)

• Colonel, Mission Transport Pilot, and former Commander for Michigan Wing (State of Michigan) in the United States Air Force Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol — a civilian volunteer organization. As Michigan Wing Commander, was responsible for an organization of 1,100 personnel, a fleet of 10 aircraft and other emergency services and disaster relief assets located across the State. Performed various missions in support of Homeland Security and national & regional disaster first response efforts. Also served as a corporate officer and member of the National Board, the governing body of the organization, interfacing with senior officers and commanders at various levels of the U.S. Air Force.

• Current duty assignments: 

Deputy CAP Inspector General, Training, Education & Staff Development, responsible for developing and managing a national CAP Inspector General Education and Training program that will advance the professionalism and qualifications of CAP National Complaint Resolution Officers, National Review Panel members, National Compliance Inspection Officers, Inspectors General, Assistant Inspectors General, and Inspection Augmentees.

National Compliance Inspection Team Chief, responsible for working with CAP-USAF Inspectors and leading the CAP Team during the inspections of Wing Headquarters across the U.S.
